"As a scorekeeper, I like the elements of the book that allow you to double-check details. For example, when a foul is committed, you mark off the player foul and down below, you don't just mark "Team Foul #1", but you also record the player's number and the time it occurred. Easy to check if there's a discrepency in player fouls later. Also, writing down the times when fouls occur can be helpful (as we saw in a JV game last year), in case the clock operator forgets to stop the clock when we pause for foul shots."
